PL Workshop – 24 June, 2025: Exploring Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL)
A collaboration between LTV and the CLIL Teacher Education Lab.
Are you keen to explore the opportunities CLIL provides for effectively engaging language learners?
Join this full day workshop to:
- hear Dr Shu Ohki from the Lab at the University of Melbourne unpack CLIL and identify how this approach can engage and support students to experience success in their language learning
- observe a range of CLIL Humanities classes in Japanese at Lilydale Heights College (LHC)
- hear from the Languages team at LHC about the impact CLIL has had on teacher enjoyment, student engagement and success and school leadership valuing of Languages learning
- explore opportunities for application of CLIL in your own context
- network with colleagues and be supported by a team of Languages coaches to assist you in identifying resources and support available for getting started with CLIL
- hear about the opportunity to be involved in a funded mini Action Research Project in Semester 2 to explore CLIL further with the support of an LTV Languages coach
